Welcome
Here's who I am & what I do
I'm a sociocultural anthropolgist specializing in "security" and the politics of identity and exclusion. I study social mobility and migration, civil-military relations, and community wellbeing.

My research asks, "security, for whom?;" how is a sense of belonging constructed or derailed in a society increasingly organized around the question of safety and who is supposed to be responsible for it?

Working toward an anti-racist, feminist, and intersectional pedagogy, I enjoy teaching and learning creatively through student engagement, mentorship, and skills development.
